Voglia di donna (Franco Bottari, 1978)Featuring Laura Gemser, Ilona Staller, Rena Niehaus, Gianni Cavina, Carlo Giuffrè, Gabriele Tinti, Stefano Amato, Luciano Salce, Armando Brancia, Antonio Di Leo, Mauro Vestri and Alberto Squillante Desire for a Woman is a lightweight Italian sex comedy comprising three stories. Laura Gemser is a young wife embarrassed after a mix-up with a naughty home video. Rena Niehaus is a secretary to a particularly boorish author, and his close rival in ill-breeding. Finally Ilona Staller does her usual La Cicciolina thing with an outsize stuffed rabbit in unclear circumstances. It's passable entertainment for those with low expectations, featuring girls generally of a more soft-spoken and agreeable character than the typical Italian harridans. |
