In this prettified Polish gothic tosh Monika reached the peak of her career playing one of those dratted nuisance mute girls forever running feral in the woods. Ironically that makes her practically well-adjusted compared to the rest of the cast. After all, what's worse, being a member of a marginalised minority group prancing about in nothing but rags, or being one of the landed gentry shooting people when it's not even called for? No contest.

In the first clip Monika is bullied by some of the local lads and ends up stark naked, the young scion of the local bigwigs meanwhile looking on from the undergrowth. In the second clip Monika ends up stark naked yet again while pratting around with previously mentioned young scion. Maybe the way she carries on here is a little 'off', but I reckon that cackling she makes is out of character. It's the sort of thing witches do. She's probably just another one possessed by the spirit of a notorious local 'nob' lady.
